Project overview
Assist PFP was appointed to carry out a full fire-stopping and compartmentation upgrade across ceiling. The project required extensive remedial works to bring the property into line with the latest fire safety standards, all completed while the building remained fully operational.
The challenge
A recent fire risk assessment had identified multiple areas of non-compliance, including poorly sealed service penetrations and damaged fire barriers. The building’s tenants needed to remain in place during the works, so the project required careful planning to minimise disruption while maintaining a safe environment. Height – scaffolding tower required to access the space.
Working in a non operational area but it was a live site.
Our solution
Assist PFP carried out a detailed fire-stopping survey to map all compartment lines and identify defects. Our technicians then installed hung a BS fire curtain. We worked closely with the building management team to phase the works floor by floor, completing noisy tasks outside of office hours.
Results
Full compliance achieved
Zero disruption to building operations
Positive feedback from management
